Welcome!
I am a fourth year attending California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. I am working towards my Bachelor's of Architecture degree as well as a sustainability minor and graphic design emphasis. I enjoy traveling around, but my home is Denver, Colorado. I am currently traveling around Europe and discovering all of the design possibilities and cultural influences that affect architecture.
My design career began at age four. After spending countless hours constructing mansions for Barbie, I had found my passion for designing buildings. As the passion grew, it expanded to attending architecture clubs in high school and following my mother around on construction job sites. Although observing the building in the construction phase was an important aspect in shaping my outlook as an architect, I knew I needed to emerge myself more within the design of the building.
The next step was to explore my passion at a University level at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. This is where I discovered my desire for designing sustainably and exploring how buildings impact the environment. Sustainability and passive techniques drive the intent of most of my building's supported with aesthetic qualities.
Within my design process I explore with model building, sketching, drafting, 3D modeling, watercolor, metal sculptures, ceramics and other various mediums.
After traveling and seeing how many different aspects there are to design I am very curious to see how my architecture background can thrive in other areas of design. I am eager to explore more techniques and styles of architecture in my future career as an architect and a designer.
